Interesting synchronicity: during today's Jimbo Lunch, I bought a (long-sought-after) used copy of Utopia's Oblivion, POV & Some Trivia issued by Rhino.

Congrats Jimbo, they are almost impossible to find. I bought these when they first came out and glad I did.

More synchronicity: I was listening to Another Live on Spotify when I saw this topic. I have several (but not all) of the Rhino issues so I don't want all of these but some of the ones with bonus tracks are tempting.

Thoughts:

--Ooh, the alternate Runt! Or some of it, anyway.
--I just got the Rhino issues of Wizard and Todd recently. I thought the sound left a little to be desired.
--The Something/Anything? jingles are fun. I might skip that one, though (I have the MoFi).
--Speaking of S/A, does anyone remember Rhino's aborted Deluxe Edition which included "The Todd Rundgren Radio Show" as a bonus?
--Now THAT would make a great promotion for the Edsel/Bearsville reissues! But they'd probably have to re-license all the Nazz clips, not to mention the Marx Bros. samples...
--I hope they continue this with Hermit of Mink Hollow/Healing and perhaps even Tortured Artist Effect/A Cappella (which was recorded for Bearsville, rejected, and released by Warner).
--And to a lesser extent TR's Utopia/Another Live, Adventures in Utopia/Deface the Music, and Swing to the Right/Utopia (who owns that one, anyway? It started out on Network/Elektra, but was reissued by Rhino and then Unidisc... one of my favorites).
--And with any luck Sparks (Halfnelson)/A Woofer in Tweeter's Clothing. But that's another story.
--Finally, as for the Passport records, they were recently reissued with the "Trivia" exclusives as bonuses. Quite handy!

(I have a lot to say because I was on a huge Todd kick during the first part of this year and was somewhat shocked to find out that a lot of his catalogue was OOP.)

I also have the MFSL Something. The only Utopia that ever did much for me was the debut, would consider an expanded edition of that one.

Always liked Adventures In Utopia with its minor radio hit "Set Me Free" and "Caravan".

Good news about "Another Live" - my original CD will no longer play.

These look like they are packaged craptastic. In some cases as many as 3 albums are in one 2CD set.

I'll be damned. They're already on Amazon. Thanks, IP.

For those keeping score, the actual releases are:
Back to the Bars
Hermit/Healing/EPTAE
TR'sU/Another Live
Adventures/Deface/Swing

And surprise!
A Cappella/Nearly Human/2nd Wind

The Bearsville ones come out on Feb 27, the Warner one on Jan 30.

Also out on Feb 27: one CD with M. Frog's S/T and Roger Powell's "Air Pocket."
(Aside: Kasim Sulton's early solo stuff seems to be MIA...)

Just dug a couple of my old ones out. I bought the Castle / Essential 1999 reissues of Utopia, Another Live, Ra, Oops Wrong Planet and The Road To Utopia. All have extensive liner notes and "new" interviews. They say "remastered by Andy @ Masterpiece" and they sound just fine to me. The tray inlay shows 12 Todd and 8 Utopia albums, covering I think at least all the 70's albums, available in this series.

Don't know if they're all OOP now, or weren't issued in the States?

Of course the only one I have any interest in is 2.5 pounds more than the others!

Friday Music also recently announced on their Facebook page that they'll be reissuing A Cappella domestically, with lyrics & original artwork in February.
