So glad the Essentials are up to the middle of Roger's run on Spider-Man! Good stuff there.

Also think it's funny that the Untold Tales omnibus is about four times more than the original comics. Still, it's worth it -- I collected that series when it was out, and loved it.

Hmm. This should be Amazing Spider-Man '97, or if you count sequentially, Amazing-Spider-Man Annual #27. Either way, #37 is a typo.

Lord, Avengers #213. I nearly ripped that comic in half after my subscription copy
came in the mail and I read it. Wow.

Although the last two issues of Roger's run are left off for the next volume. Which is kind of annoying since it's the big finish to Roger's version of the Hobgoblin saga (at least until Hobgoblin Lives! came out)

No, the Omnibus includes the Untold Tales story from last year's annual ... which was #37.

Whoa. I had no idea that Busiek returned to Untold Tales in an annual last year. Flew completely under my radar!

In that case ... how come the omnibus would have only half the Sundown story from Untold Tales '97 and not the conclusion in Amazing '97? Just because it'd be the only "modern day" story in the book?

Any other Action annual you worked on that has more Fortress?

As usual, I'm a little late to the party. I picked this up today. Previously, I had the Visionaries book that reprinted the first eight issues of the series. I'm looking forward to diving into this run.
