Do I need to say more?

One blind date that lasted approx. 20 minutes. She looked very, very mannish and was very, very, very quiet. After about 20 minutes of forced conversation and awkward silences, she mumbled something about having a friend to meet and dashed away.

Took a girl on a date. If you track such things, this would have been our third date (the first was a picnic at a park, the second was dinner with her family because she wanted to show off her cooking skills since I cooked her lunch on the first one, they were nil but she was hot so I gave her a pass) -

Picked her up at 7. She'd already had dinner while I'd been planning to start with a meal. I asked her what she wanted to do, she said "I don't care, what do you want to do." Since what I really wanted to do to her was not something one normally opens a date with, I started tossing out options until we banged out a plan. It was like pulling teeth.

We went to a steakhouse because I was starving, I had steak. We talked a little, nothing deep or interesting. We then went to a movie, we eventually chose Shark Tale. It sucked. She kept her personal space. We went back to her place. She shook my hand, told me goodnight, got out of the car, and went inside. I was dumbfounded.

Two weeks later she sent me an email about how much she enjoyed the date. I didn't write back. Hot only gets you so far in my book.

Which is why it'll never happen for us, Mike.

Sounds like the perfect date to me.

This chick I shared with when I first moved out of home, had some very dodgy Indian one night and she had a very horrible date for two days afterwards...

Help me out here. I used to know what one of those was.....

Went on a date once in which both my date and myself locked ourselves out of our respective apartments on our way to meet one another. Spent most of the date trying to get in touch with our respective landlords (I ended up having to call a locksmith).

My "worst date" story involves AOL, the eating of strawberries, the ridiculing of UB40, and a gorilla trainer.

Not kidding.

Perhaps someday I'll find the strength to write about it.

Ok, well, not actually her, but I have had almost that exact date about 20 years ago.

He showed up with his 2 year daughter, who screamed through dinner. And then he asked me to get the check.

My wife LOLed at your first post, Lisa. We're not laughing at your pain, we're laughing with your pain.

One date I was on was set up by a friend of hers. Her friend said she had a nice body. Sure. Only her nose was approx. 2 feet long. Wow. Normally I'm not a fan of plastic surgery, but a tiny bit would have gone a LONG way.
Plus, she dissed Rocky Horror during the date and wouldn't stop talking about country music. Yeah. All downhill from there...
