Okay, some have been cool but for the most part, they're fairly lame. And while I'm sure I've done this topic before, I can't remember what the title was and it's been at least a year or something, so.... let's do it again!
We've all seen the various Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Alien, Predator, Terminator, etc. comics and they never live up to the movies... not even close. What creative folks do you think could actually make these comics on par with their movie counterparts?
For me...
Luke Skywalker Writer: Kurt Busiek Artist: Chris Sprouse Concept: After the fall of the Empire and the destruction of the Sith, Luke Skywalker wanders the universe a la Caine from Kung Fu, seeking to understand the mysteries of the Force and to hack evil-doers to death with his lightsaber.
Han Solo & the Millennium Falcon Writer: Ed Brubaker Artist: Salvador Larroca Concept: Before hooking up with Leia and the Rebel Alliance, Han Solo was a space pirate of sorts... here we follow his adventures with Chewbacca as a scruffy-looking nerf-herder. Hey... who's scruffy looking? Anyway, this would be like a combination of the classic high-adventure pirate stories of Conan combined with the seedy crime worlds of books like Criminal. Also, Star Wars.
Indiana Jones Writer: Mike Mignola Artist: Mark Schultz Concept: Follows the idea of the movies... random adventures of Dr. Jones from the years leading up to World War 2 to the early years of the Cold War.
James Bond, 007 Writer: Darwyn Cooke Artist: Darwyn Cooke Concept: Set in the 60s, this series follows the adventures of the ultimate Cold Warrior as he runs bad ass spy missions and bangs stupid bimbos.
Sherlock Holmes Writer: Alan Moore Artist: John Cassaday Concept: Follows the RDJ series, basically.
Robocop Writer: Garth Ennis Artist: Geof Darrow Concept: Set after the events of Robocop II, we follow the adventures of an unstoppable killing machine with a heart of gold.

Indiana Jones by Darwyn Cooke would be fantastic.
