I just discovered Jim Shooter's blog. I find the stories fantastic. He's mentioned you a few times. Do you have a story about Jim in return?

Jim Shooter's blog has become a daily stop for me. One of the most fascinating things I've read in a long time. A real treasure for those who started reading comics during his time as EIC.

Well, there was the time he helped me carry a comics spinner rack onto the subway.

For some reason, everyone gave us a funny look.

That sounds like a cool story... I bet you two were the envy of the F Train!

A recent entry on the blog included scans of a memo Roger wrote outlining his plans for the West Coast Avengers (before it spun off into it's own series). One big surprise for me is that Rog intended Thing to join as the sixth member just as Steve Englehart ended up doing (sorta-- although he shared several adventures with the team, it can be argued he never really joined).

I loved the notion of Ben Grimm as an Avenger. Anything else you can tell us about your plans for him? The memo mentions him struggling with the fact that for the first time, he wasn't the strongest person on his team.
