Looks like this long-in-the-making project is back "on" again. From the "Only Olivia" website:
"In 2003, Olivia was working with her nephew - musician, composer and Australian producer Brett Goldsmith, on a CD tentatively named "The Hotel Sessions". Several songs are said to be on this CD- "Best Of My Love" (which was able to be heard on the internet via an MP3), "Bow River" (version of the song by the Australian group Cold Chisel), "Broken Wings" (a cover of the Mr. Mister 80's hit, also heard via MP3). Some other songs may include "To The Long Road", "Here’s Hoping" and "End In Peace". Now, Olivia and Brett have returned to this project. This could be released (in what form we do not know) as early as April."
I'll be really excited if this gets done and out. Always thought "Best Of My Love" was great, and ONJ definitely needs to break out of this sleepy "Grace & Gratitude" phase.

Thanks for posting David -- this is great news! I do like her "Grace & Gratitude" album quite a bit, but I would like to hear her do something with a pop edge!

Latest news on the planned Olivia Newton-John dance-oriented project is that she in the recording studio with producer Marius de Vries working on new dance track, "Weightless," by John Farrar. Don't know if this is something entirely new or an expansion of the referenced Goldsmith project.

Here's a bit more (still ambiguous) info from a Nov. 18 interview in Playbill:
Question: You're also working on a pop CD of dance remixes. What's going to be on that recording?
Newton-John: Well, it kind of started out because we did a remix of "Magic" and we used it as a fundraiser in Australia for my hospital, The Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Center, and over the years, quite a few remixes have been done of "Xanadu" and "Magic" and a few of my other songs, so we thought we'd put them on a CD. Also, I worked on some songs with my nephew, Brett Goldsmith, in Australia over the years. I would just go to his house for fun and we'd make music, and I did demos for him, and I think we are going to mix that up and put those tracks out.

Sadly, I don't hold out a lot of hope for any of this. I wouldn't mind seeing her do some Country-Pop or Pop, but based on what I'm hearing in this thread, I don't think any of this has a chance to be marketable. "Dance remixes"? Really?
