I need the rest after the amount of $$$ I've spent this Fall. Box set after box set, remaster after remaster.

I see no drought ahead for me. Even if there was a drought in new releases, my cd want list of older albums, reissues and recent releases keeps growing.

What Lawrence said. There's no resting from music collecting. :-)

Hey, I'm excited about what's been teased for 2012 already:

Renny, I bet if you poke around YouTube you can already find at least two or three previews of 2012 releases that you will love.

Any drought tme s/b used to fill in gaps before the cd is eliminated.

There is a Ringo scheduled for January and perhaps another Zappa release...

IMO this year has been better than some previous - Smile/Aqualung/Kinks, Stones,P Mac expended catelog releases/a new Maria Muldaur/Hendrix vault material/FZ at Carnegie Hall/Loudon Wainwright box set - all made for a pretty good year...

This. They could release nothing for the next three years and I'd still have a lot of catching up to do.

Personally, I'm looking forward to those upcoming Small Faces reissues in 2012...

And the Pink Floyd immersion version of Piper + Saucer...

Rennie, there's a new Chuck Prophet CD coming out in January. The first single, Castro Halloween, is very good. And Little Steven declared the title track, Temple Beautiful, "The coolest song in the universe."

Seems like a fairly narrow view here. Just because there's not music you're interested in doesn't mean there's a "drought" (this post seems to be here every year at this time).
I wish there was nothing coming out, but I highly disagree.

In January and February alone I want to get:
new releases that were in the UK in November from Scorpions, Seal (maybe)
The Doors 2 CD L.A. Woman (sorry Renny)
The Queen "Days Of Our Lives" DVD
The Styx live DVD/2 CD set of Grand Illusion and Pieces Of Eight
The Big Country remaster of The Crossing
The new Metallica EP
The new Air album
The new live DVD from Scorpions
The next 2 Thin Lizzy remasters
The Wall 3 CD remaster from Pink Floyd
Maybe the new UFO

So, to me, no drought just more stuff I want. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, yes?
