Yes. Image is in the process of re-releasing all of the PBS Soundstage DVDs, this time with hi-def Blu-ray versions too.

Thanks for confirming, Linda. I believe that several previous Soundstage Blu-rays were exclusive to Sears and only included some of the earlier titles (Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Michael McDonald, Foreigner, Seal, and Best of Soundstage). I was able to get some of them on blowout pricing for $5 or less in early 2010.

That's interesting, I wasn't aware of any previous Blu-ray editions of this material. Well, a few of the ones you listed have already been issued by Image (and are posted on this board). I'd guess that Image will have gotten most, or all, of them into general release by the end of 2012. They've been doing 4 to 6 titles a month.

(There have actually been Sears exclusives? It sounds so strange, Jay. Not exactly the first place one would look for new releases.)

I agree. I think I found out about them only through a posting about the clearance sale at a DVD board. By the time I saw it, they had mostly disappeared from all of the Sears stores.

I picked up several of these titles when they were Sears exclusives. At the time, they were a promo tie-in with some Home Theater packages that Sears was marketing.
