Compiled from his posted comments elsewhere: Alexander Jero wrote: 7.1 surround mix produced from original tapes digitized for me on another studio in europe
My presenration is a promotional project and everething is official
...
I had access to the tapes everything was done for me in original studios alredy converted in digital multitrack format, but yes my artistry is to produce 7.1 Surround presentation
The conversion at 24/96k, disc will be region free and feature 7.1 DTS-HD MA Only. English isn't his native language, but the gist of this and other comments he's made is that the Blu-ray is an official collection of hi-rez 7.1 mixes of original Pink Floyd recordings which he's been allowed to do in order to encourage the adoption of Blu-ray as an audio format. The band themselves had no involvement in this release aside from providing digital copies of the master tapes to work from. A bunch of other titles are also coming out in this series -- classical, big band, etc. The total lack of promotion or even mention of this from the Floyd camp makes it all somewhat mysterious. A poster asked about the engineering process for this release and posted a technically detailed example of how another mastering had been done. Mr. Jero's reply was: Quote: with all do respect to the engineering site Other then that please don't spoil the Magic. I am an Artist of Music and Sound, not a technicial

Could be worth it for the surround sound tracks from The Wall alone.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, all of the Alexander Jero Blu-ray audio releases scheduled for November 29th have now been removed from Amazon's website.

It would be so nice if a High Def + 5.1 Blu Ray disc of every Pink Floyd albums is issued without any marbles, clothing etc.
They would sell a shit load of them.

They would sell a shit load of them. THANK YOU! I'll add all artists/labels should do this. With CD on the way out, SACD + DVD-A not quite taking off as planned, and iTunes/MP3/DL's killing music, this is the way they should be going.

Congratulations! Was that from Amazon? Have any other ICErs received a copy? Amazon actually has a new listing for this now, showing December 23rd as the release date and a higher price than before: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006F4S0CU/?tag=imwan-20(I've changed the link in the first post too.) Would have to strongly suggest pre-ordering this, and hope that more copies sneak out as happened for Esschoir, even if the release is officially cancelled again.

The purchase is in my order history, but the link to the product now leads nowhere, unlike the new link Linda just posted.

What is the track listing on the disc? Rick A. There is no track listing on either the box or the disk. In fact, so far I can't pick up any visual data at all (I know it's not a DVD, but my Oppo universal player usually picks up SOME information from the disk) From a quick spin through the disc, here are the tracks (it does seem to be heavily weighted towards "The Wall.") 1. Hey You 4:38 2. Shine on You Crazy Diamond 13:32 3. Dogs 17:08 4. Is there anybody out there? 2:41 5. Time 6:34 6. Wish You were here 5:34 7. Comfortably Numb 6:22 8. Us and them 7:41 9. In the flesh 4:15 10. Run like hell 4:23 11. The trial 5:13 Oh, and the sound? . . . . Magnificent!

I am surprised there was no track listing on the box or booklet, and I am very curious if this is just a up-mix of previously released CDs done in 96/24 kHz 5.1.

I might go for this since I passed on the "Wish You Were" Immersion box. Rick A.

After seeing the track listing & the sound being excellent I am going for it. I hope I get it before they cancel it (again).

JohnG wrote: Well I went and pre-ordered it too. Hey John, did you just receive a cancellation today on this? I believe I did. They referenced an order # that was a book that I bought & received. I may have ordered this together initally. Anyway, no record or evidence supporting my Pink Floyd 5.1 order meaning it was deleted. And this was to be mailed out next week, damm it. I almost scored one (again). Second time burnt on this. Rick A.

Well as I checking out this title on the web there is a website that specializes on Quad recordings and the like.
The disdain they have for this Alexander Jero fellow make the hardcore Hoffmanites rants sound like childs play.
Many seem to have petition Amazon to pull this title and therefore their (and probably others) were heard and reacted too.
So there you go, why can't people just leave it alone? Don't like it, fine. Don't spoil for others who may want to have a copy. I think I'll return there and see if any of the discontents want to part with theirs (if they haven't sent it back to Amazon as they threatened).

What concerned me was the total lack of information as to what was on the disc. I am wondering if it was a fake.
