From Melodicrock.com:

The Store For Music label proudly announces the October 2011 re-release of the first 4 albums by Alcatrazz; "No Parole from Rock 'n' Roll" (1983), "Live Sentence" (1984), "Disturbing the Peace" (1985), and "Dangerous Games" (1986). The artwork of these epic albums will replicate the original vinyl album covers, as well as feature extensive audio and visual bonus material from founder Graham Bonnet's very own private vault.
Alcatrazz was originally formed in California, in 1983, by vocalist Graham Bonnet, who was a veteran of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, with whom he enjoyed a massive worldwide hit with "Since You've Been Gone", before joining the Michael Schenker Group.

Bonnet enlisted Swedish guitar sensation Yngwie Malmsteen, whose only work of note up until then had been as a member of Ron Keel's Steeler. After the first two albums releases and a Japanese tour, Malmsteen felt the desire to embark on a solo career, and Bonnet recruited yet another virtuoso player, the ex-Frank Zappa guitarist Steve Vai. Steve in turn absconded after the third album came out, and joined David Lee Roth, who had just left Van Halen. Alcatrazz managed to recruit one more ace axeman when they enlisted ex-Derringer/Alice Cooper guitarist Danny Johnson, with whom the band recorded their fourth album, "Dangerous Games", before the instability of the group's line-up finally took it's toll, and they disbanded.

If these are done right and are taken from the original master tapes I am very in for these. The Alcatrazz catalogue is one of the most unique, thoughtful, creative and musically inventive in all of Metal.
They were just too intelligent and out there for the average Metalhead who wanted to drink beer and crank up the Hair Metal. But serious music fans got it. And look at the guitarist-Yngwie, Vai and Danny Johnson. I mean, wow.
Hopefully the bonus tracks are not just unlistenable crap and the video isn't some bootleg footage. There's plenty of pro-shot stuff never released in the US, some I'm really interested in what they come up with-but I'm not sure what that means.

I should note that as for the two Alcatrazz DVD's released in Japan, that even if you have a modified player and can defeat the region coding, be cautioned, that though they're licensed by Graham Bonnet, he doesn't have access to the original video masters. One of the DVD's was mastered from a Japanese VHS release, and the other was mastered from a Laserdisc release. Both look acceptable, but not as good as they could be. One of the discs has some bonus material, but it's a poor quality off-the-air VHS taping.

Forgot all about these, but they came out already! I am a very big fan, but I know nothing about Store For Music and I hate the alternate cover of Disturbing The Peace they used. I'm not sure what the bonus tracks are-does anyone know?

Well, I found out.

Here's No Parole From Rock 'N' Roll:

Description

The Store For Music label proudly announces the September 2011 re-release of the first 4 albums by Alcatrazz; “No Parole from Rock 'n' Roll” (1983), “Live Sentence” (1984), “Disturbing the Peace” (1985), and “Dangerous Games” (1986). The artwork of these epic albums will replicate the original vinyl album covers, as well as feature extensive bonus material from founder Graham Bonnet’s very own private vault.

After the first two albums releases and a Japanese tour, Malmsteen felt the desire to embark on a solo career.

No Parole From Rock 'N' Roll (1983) was the first album released by Graham Bonnet's Alcatrazz. It spent seven weeks on the Billboard chart. It not only launched the band, but later also Yngwie J. Malmsteen into a glittering solo career. Most famous for the future Alcatrazz anthems such as "Island In the Sun", "Jet To Jet", "Hiroshima Mon Amour", it also includes "Incubus", a guitar solo by Yngwie J. Malmsteen, which he continued to play later, throughout his solo career.

This 2011 re-release contains the original instrumental album demo sessions.

Live Sentence:

Live Sentence (1984) was the only official live album released by Graham Bonnet's Alcatrazz and contains some of the songs performed by Bonnet from his stint with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. The track listing of the live show was based on their previous, debut album: No Parole From Rock N' Roll, and featured the same, original line-up. The album sat on the Billboard charts for an impressive 16 weeks. This 2011 re-release contains the entire unabridged concert, featuring 7 – previously officially unreleased – bonus tracks.

Disturbing The Peace:

After original guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen quit to pursue a solo career, Graham Bonnet recruited yet another virtuoso player, the ex-Frank Zappa guitarist Steve Vai, who appears here on this expanded version of Disturbing The Peace.

The success of the debut album, No Parole From Rock ‘N’ Roll, and the follow-up live effort: Live Sentence, secured Alcatrazz a major deal with Capitol Records and a famous producer in Eddie Kramer. Graham Bonnet is in fine form on Disturbing The Peace, and Steve Vai's unique guitar work nudges Alcatrazz’s Hard Rock a step closer to the Progressive Rock genre. This 2011 expanded edition of the album contains a second, 17-track disc, featuring an unabridged live concert performed at the Shinjuku Koseinenkin-Kaikan hall, in Tokyo, Japan.

Dangerous Games:

Enter guitarist Danny Johnson, who replaced Stevie Vai after the latter left to join David Lee Roth in 1986. Originally discovered by Rick Derringer, another one of Rock & Roll's guitar greats, after the demise of Alcatrazz, Johnson later played with Alice Cooper, Rod Stewart and Steppenwolf.

Dangerous Games was the third and final studio album released by Graham Bonnet’s Alcatrazz. This album marked a significant departure from the band’s previous two studio efforts with its notably Japanese-influenced style.

The 2011 re-release of Dangerous Games contains 9 bonus tracks, recorded live at The Country Club in Reseda, California, in 1984, featuring the original Alcatrazz line-up, with Yngwie Malmsteen on guitar.

I am extremely interested, but...I hate the different cover for Disturbing The Peace (why??? why???), but the 2nd live disc (most likely the long OOP concert video soundtrack is a must for live Alcatrazz from the Vai era. An expanded Live Sentence is awesome though I'm sure the sound is still tepid at best. The instrumental demos for No Parole aren't exciting, but hearing a young Yngwie doing so would be cool.
I do not understand how live tracks from 1983 relate to Dangerous Games-I was really hoping for something from that era.
I'll have to wait until someone can mention the sonic quality before I decide to get any of these if they're even available at a reasonable price. Most of them show as out of stock at the Store For Music website, but amazonUK has them.

These remasters are an unholy mess. The live bonus tracks that I heard all have an artificial "pause" inserted after each track (like you hear on an mp3 playlist with silence inserted between tracks) that ruins the flow of the live stuff - sometimes the clip is even in the middle of between-song banter. This fake pause is even inserted between the instrumental demos which also appear to be unnaturally faded ((you sometimes hear "the clip" as the song is fading out). On "No Parole" there is a second of startling digital noise after "Too Young To Die, Too Drunk To Live" has ended. Moving on, "Disturbing the Peace" actually has the last track "Breaking The Heart Of the City" butchered by being cut in half - it stops at 2.50 apparently. I only bought the first album and "Dangerous Games" because I had not heard about them being messed up - I avoided the other ones because of reports of the clipping and cut tracks.

Finally, according to EAC all the two discs that I ripped are constantly at 100% peak levels - so they may be brickwalled.

Stay far far away from these until they get fixed. IF they get fixed.

Thanks man. I've seen these reviews since first posting and these sound like a total joke/scam/fraud. What a shame. How could Bonnett let shit like this happen to the catalogue? Insulting. I will 100% stay far away.

I only have Dangerous Games and I can't recommend it the album tracks do sound terrible(I am no audiophile but even I can tell they're bad). The live tracks do have those annoying pauses in them and even the crowd noise sounds fake like it was placed in there, which seems unlikely that anyone would go to that expense seeing that nothing was spent on these reissues.

WOW, I am so sadden about this. I don't have anything on CD from these guys, just one LP so I was really looking forward to some good or even excellent reviews but none are forthcoming. Not even close

Actually our Imwaners forewarning is so scary I wouldn't pick these up even used. What a drag.

Thanks Rick & Byron's Ghost for saving me from making a very bad decision.
