The displays in the book store grow larger and larger for this adolescent book The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins. There are also two sequels and some games made off it it.

Sounds like The Running Man for teenagers.

Anybody read it? Any good?

Friends tell me it's very entertaining.

My wife and kids loved the books. So much, in fact, my younger son tried to be an extra in the upcoming movie. He didn't make it but my wife did and is an extra in the film.

It is pretty good, but was written for a certain audience and it reflects that.

There are some problems with it, chief among them being a Twilight-esqe love triangle that sucks up time and isn't compelling to say the least.
