This is one of the most groundbreaking and important Metal albums of the 90's. Absolute genius. Death Metal made romantic. Started a whole trend of copiers. This is before Paradise Lost went all Depeche Mode though I also love that stuff and a Legacy edition of One Second would rule.
I'm shocked Legacy is doing such a thing and I'll be all over this. I'm probably the only one here, but hopefully this may intrigue others.

5.1 mix. Paradise Lost's website also indicates it will contain an unreleased track "Last Desire" in demo form. It also says there will be other bonus material. I would guess it's going to be a CD/DVD combo.

I have Opeth's Blackwater Park as the Legacy issue and was pleased with the purchase. It's a CD/DVD combo in a BEAUTIFUL digipak. But beware, the digipak does not have the discs in plastic trays but rather cardboard sleeves affixed to the inside of the front and back covers. The CD contains the stereo mix (I don't think it was remastered) + one live bonus cut. The DVD contains a 5.0 mix of the album plus a video documentary of the making of the album. I was suprised that Opeth had camera's around the studio during the recording of Blackwater Park...if the same holds true for Draconian Times, there will probably be a documentary included as well (although it's probably unlikely as if that was planned it would probably already have been announced). I believe Blackwater Park and Draconian Times were both originally Music For Nations releases obtained by Sony, so I'm anticipating the Paradise Lost release will be along the same lines as Blackwater Park.

Thanks for the info-I was unaware of Blackwater Park being remastered as a Legacy Edition-I'll get that now.
I hope there's more bonus content for Draconian Times than just the one cut, but I will still gladly repurchase this one-one of the best albums of the 90's.

Probably falling on deaf ears, but I had to bump this, as I hadn't purchased this yet. AmazonUK just lowered the Legacy Edition to 3.49 lbs. That's about $9 US with S&H so I jumped on it.
Again, this is one of the most groundbreaking Metal albums ever-nobody was doing music like this in 1995 for the most part. It won't be for everybody's tastes, but if you're curious or you've been wanting this, the price is beyond a steal.
It's a CD/DVD-A combo release from Sony/Legacy.

I'll tell ya what's up-I'm a boob! Here's the correct link...

Rick-you and I have many similar tastes in music, but I hope this is something you might enjoy. I'd say it's a mix of Death Metal, Prog, Doom and hints of classical.
It's funny because after the huge success of this album they switched gears and did a Metallica-meets Depeche Mode with One Second in 1997 which is an amazing album as well and also did well despite some backlash from diehard fans. I hope they do that album as well in a Legacy edition.
Anyway, sorry for the wrong link and thanks for reading!

No prob IP; I just ordered with your link for the price of $5.58. Can you beleive that? Includes a 5.1 mix that the reviews say are excellent. Thanks for the turn on (once again).

Rick:
Got mine today! I am still in disbelief I got this for less than $10 including shipping from the UK brand new, sealed.
This item is one of the most beautiful, detailed I own. It's in a hardbound bookcase with paintings and interviews with the band members and of course, you get the CD and the DVD-A with all the music videos, concert footage and the 5.1 surround mix.
This has to be an error in pricing as when this came out back in April it was around $25-$30 US.
Whatever! I'm glad you jumped on board and I really hope you enjoy the music, but even if you don't you have a beautiful piece of art as a bonus.
I hope anyone else interested takes a plunge as well. Believe me, it is truly a steal.

Glad to hear you got yours IP. I hope to get the same version. I went for the deluxe package as well but I agree also that their is pricing error here. No way should this be the price as quoted and most importantly, ACCEPTED! But I'll take it! :yay:
