The video for the lead single, "Tough", draws from Kellie's real-life childhood relationship with her father. About the emotional music video for "Tough", Kellie said, "There was so much healing in shooting this one". Tough was penned for Kellie by acclaimed songwriter Leslie Satcher. Regarding Kellie's performance, Music Row magazine's Bob Oermann says, "This rumbling, romping rhythm number has a lyric with real moxie and she delivers it with just the right amount of sass."

Produced by Frank Liddell (Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack) and Luke Wooten, 100 Proof features a more earthy quality with a less-Is-More approach from instrumentation to production.

Kellie Pickler will release her third album, 100 Proof, on Jan. 24.

The 11-track album, produced by Frank Liddell (Miranda Lambert, Lee Ann Womack), features current single Tough and six tunes co-written by Kellie. Other songs on the album include opening track Where's Tammy Wynette (Jimmy Ritchey, Don Poythress and Leslie Satcher) and Long As I Never See You Again (Kellie Pickler, Dean Dillon, Dale Dodson).

"I'm just happy to be making country music," Kellie said in a press release issued Monday. "I hope everyone enjoys the new music as much as I've enjoyed making it!"
