From the Ultimate Classic Rock website...

Bob Seger delivers an energetic if brief version of a Little Richard song with his
horn-charged new track ‘Hey Hey Going Back to Birmingham." The track will appear
on Seger’s upcoming collection ‘Ultimate Hits: Rock And Roll Never Forgets,’ and
good news — you won’t need to fast-forward past this song, like you do frequently
when bands decide to add a new single to their best-of albums.

Bob, if you're gonna put an energetic but brief song with a city in its title on your latest compy, that city is in Colorado, you doofus.

I might also suggest Tennessee.

13 songs per CD seems a little skimpy. And the two existing greatest hits comps combine for a better selection.

Of course, I'll buy one anyway. Wouldn't mind a companion DVD of videos.

A missed opportunity, with the space available, to get more of the early songs on an expansive comp since most of those albums aren't on CD.

well, i've been telling you all how i have been downsizing the collection, and this release is just another reason to download.(i NEVER thought i would type that).

i can get both the songs on here that i don't have for probably less than $3, beats the hell out of $15 for a 2CD set of which i have over 90% of the songs.

same with the chris gaffney tribute above, in the past i would have spent over $10 to get one song by boz scaggs, now i can get that song for $1.29.

it just doesn't make sense to buy a CD for $10 - $15 that will be worth $1 in a year. i wouldn't do that with anything else.

guess i'm getting old :(

Whats your favorite Seger tune?

Mine is actually "Mainstreet" followed by the rarely heard "Her Strut".

Well said, and I totally agree, with one exception...I am not "getting old", I AM old!!! :luddite:

Very hard question, but "I Feel Like A Number" is always near the top for me.

There's so much wasted space on the 2CDs and missing hits. I swear these comps are put together by braindead rodents.
I will not purchase this.
As for my favorite Seger tune, has to be "American Storm" which is another glaring abscence with this joke of a comp.
Nice to see "Little Drummer Boy" on here, but this is lame like so many others before.
