This name has been in my life recently, but I do not recall why or where or when.

Hope that helps.

Hogarth? The guy who wrote all the 'Dynamic Anatomy' books?

I love his stuff!

Since I dug out the issue of Comics Scene for the Twomorrows thread, here's a couple pages of the Hogarth interview, with some really sharp illustrations.

I have some of Burne Hogarth's drawing books. The anatomy one, and the one about light and shade. They're beyond me, but I love looking through them.

Hogarth, the Michelangelo of comics. Yup, got Drago and signed Tarzan and signed no.2 of King Arthur Portfolio, never did receive no.1 even though I ordered it. Also got the two graphic novels of Tarzan, the first of which Linda has posted a panel above.

I wouldn't call Kirby a Michaelangelo. More of a Van Gogh (fast, more impressionistic, master of his craft)
