Saw this today:

1. Time Is On My Side
2. (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
3. Get Off Of My Cloud
4. 19th Nervous Breakdown
5. Mother's Little Helper
6. Paint It Black
7. Under My Thumb
8. Ruby Tuesday
9. She's A Rainbow
10. Jumpin' Jack Flash
11. Sympathy For The Devil
12. You Can't Always Get What You Want
13. Gimme Shelter
14. Honky Tonk Women
15. Brown Sugar
16. Wild Horses

I'm curious if it has the correct version of "Ruby Tuesday" rather than the underdub that has appeared on most the ABKCO remasters.

I need one. I don't care how many other Stones comps I already own.

Actually, this looks to be about half of Hot Rocks, with "She's a Rainbow" thrown in.

and it stops at a point chronologically that begs for volume II.

It does not, unfortunately; it's the underdub. :(

ABKCO doesn't have the rights to anything after 1971. A volume 2 would just be from the same timeframe.
There was a special agreement for the 40 Licks comp between all labels.

the crossover with the Sticky Fingers songs is annoying. While 2 classic Stones songs, it would be nice to have a clea 60s comp and include a couple more 60s classics (I'm aware that they did this with Hot Rocks etc prior).

This is a low budget Christmas cash -n designed to lure buyers to WallyWorld when the SOME GIRLS reissues hit. The cover graphics (or lack thereof) say it all; "Grab me quick as a last minute stocking stuffer."

I've collected Stones stuff for decades and I've never heard of the Ruby Tuesday "underdub." What are the differences and where might they be found? Thanks!

Wal Mart customers largely wouldn't be interested in much else.

...which would be surprising to see them stock much of. Some Girls isn't exactly going to have crowds run to Wal Mart.

I'm not so sure--old people buy CD's like crazy, which is why Walmart signs all of these exclusive deals with acts like Journey, the Eagles, KISS, AC/DC, etc.

What I find odd is how my local Walmart is currently devoting special displays to the CD catalog of the great Lil Wayne, and his new album "Tha Carter IV", featuring such gems as "Blunt Blowin'," "Abortion" and "How To Hate." Lyrics such as "Girl I was the one that told you fuck them other n*****s/And you still fucked them other n******s" make a lyric such as "Black girls just want to get fucked all night" seem downright quaint.

Makes for a quick car best of that you could throw on when in the mood. Other than that its worthless. Sounds more like one of those Starbucks quickees they used to sell. Remember those?

I don't see the issue with this. I agree old people buy cds, which is why this is a good idea. What readily available single disc cd exists that pretty much sums up that era Stones? One would have to get the old Big Hits and its follow up or buy the 2 disc Hot Rocks and none I've seen at a Wal Mart. And in either combination, are 2 cds.

Some people are casual fans.

I'd suggest Rolled Gold Plus the UK 2 cd compilation instead featuring the CORRECT Ruby Tuesday.
