From the label:

More Info
The 1977 release of NEW HORIZON, the first of five albums for Polydor, was largely considered a return to form for ISAAC HAYES. In addition to changing label, the soul legend brought his sound into the disco era with mixes by the legendary TOM MOULTON.

The album features the funky and light-hearted OUT OF THE GHETTO, a track which not only returned Ike to the R&B singles chart but also showed his wry humorous side.

MOONLIGHT LOVIN', the track that solidified the disco audience's love for Ike, is featured here in the 10 minute original album version plus rare 16 minute long version as a bonus track. This true underground dance classic features Tom Moulton's mixing at its very best.

Also featured on the album is the slow-burning DON T TAKE YOUR LOVE AWAY, in the classic Hayes ballad style. Swiftly recorded by Dionne Warwick, this became the template for their hit collaboration Déjà Vu two years later. In addition, the album features a disco update of the classic STRANGER IN PARADISE which, together with Moonlight Lovin', made #16 on the Disco chart. The album reached #26 R&B and #78 Pop.

BBR is proud to present NEW HORIZON in full expanded form, complete with extensive liner notes featuring an interview with Tom Moulton along with added bonus tracks.

Released in deluxe Super Jewel cases, this BBR remaster is a must for all Disco, Soul and R&B fans out there!
