For the past 20 years, Ireland/Italy-based Caesar Glebbeek has published Univibes, a quarterly, beautifully presented, indie-publication devoted to objective research of all things Hendrix. I own every issue. Each one has featured (among many other items) a chronicle of one month in the life of Jimi Hendrix under the moniker, "Day-To-Day Diary." 20 years ago, this feature began with October, 1966. Just this month, Mr. Glebbeek published his final installment in this series, covering September, 1970. However, this time, he presesnts a stand-alone, 50-page glossy publication with detailed accounts of Jimi's last days and attempts to lay to rest the many of the misconceptions surrounding that fateful last month. Over 90 rare and unpublished photos. My copy arrived last week. It's a beautiful piece of work that I would not want to be without. Just a heads-up in case Hendrix-lovers might not be aware.
