I've been re-reading a bunch of my trades comics and one thing that keeps coming up is series where there are costume changes, and then the series jumps the shark and is never the same again. Here are some I've noticed that with.

Thunderbolts (original)
New Warriors (original)
Teen Titans (starting with Troia)
Hero Alliance

Anyone else can think of some?

You mean when Spidey's costume went from black and orange to blue and red?

I'm a fan of the all-black Spider-Man suit, by the way. I just love it.

I've never been a big Spider-Man fan, so my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt, but I like the 2099 design and the FF design. The original Ditko design can lead to so many fun alterations. I'm not sure that's true for a lot of superhero costumes.

I like the B&W but unsure if it's good for Spider-man.

They could always just do a reverse version of the black costume. I think the FF one is okay, though.

I prefer the 80s black costume to Spidey's original costume.

One problem with the FF design. If he's a member of the FF, he should have the same logo as the other team members.
Sure, but it within the spider logo, but without it to me it's like saying Spidey isn't REALLY a member of the team.

I do too. Black and white, with no greys. I believe it is what Ditko always intended.

He pretty much does. The spider on his chest is two hexagons, which matches up with the other Future Foundation costumes.

I might have noticed this first if I actually READ the Spidey FF issues. Thanks for pointing that out to me!

Have you guys read FF? He can switch it back and forth like that at will, as can the rest of the team with theirs.

This.

And the spider-logo on the uniform IS like the rest of the FF. The FF symbols are hexagons. The spider symbol on his Spidey-FF uniform is made up of hexagons rather than ellipses.

Spidey's FF costume is brilliant. But nothing can replace the classic red and blue duds.
