I picked up the new book by Sergio Aragones that Bongo put out last week. This looks like my cup of tea -- a real labor of love by Sergio. A capper to a long and glorious career.

He's pouring a lot of autobiographical touches into it, things he's just wanted to do, etc.

It's a must for Sergio fans. I scanned this first page of it, because I think Sergio himself gives you a good idea of what he has in mind.

I picked that up last week as well, a fun little book.

His stories lack gasps and spontaneous applause.

He should lean forward more when he tells them also.

Shooter's Stewart story would've been perfect if he'd added a lean-forward-gasp-applause to his final reply to Stewart.

Issue #3 is the best one yet. This book just keeps getting better.

This one has two extended features that are autobiographical -- one about a "hell" strip Sergio was working on until Mark Evanier informed him it had been done before in the 1950's; and the other a great story about a summer Sergio spent in Acapulco in 1960 (scuba diving, sleeping in a bohemian hammock, and listening to wonderful music).

The autobiographical story that Aragones submitted to the Streetwise book by Two Morrows is hilarious. If you don't have this book, you need to pick it up.

I continue to love this series. Issue #4 today. A Pinocchio story and an autobiographical tale about Sergio's lifelong love of marionettes.

Interesting letters page -- IMWAN's own Andrew Fargo, Gail Simone, and Billy Mumy all had letters printed. Mumy as for "some stories with kids and robots" because "those always work for me."
