Well...it seems as though the announcement that this EP would be released in August is just another example of ARK Music Factory stringing us along yet again. I've had it with these bogus announcements. I'm calling for a boycott of ALL of Rebecca Black's music and concerts until this EP is released--which, at this point, probably won't be until 2012 at the earliest.

She performed at some awards show earlier this month----Kids Choice Awards, maybe? Without the Autotune, her voice sounded really weak, although I'm sure she was nervous.
But basically, talentwise she sounded like someone MAYBE good enough to get a solo in the local high school musical, but not at the level where her parents should drop $5000 for a demo tape of her.

Here's the thing: Rebecca Black is sixteen years old. I would wager she could care not one bit whether or not her music is ever actually released on a compact disc. And why should she? I did the math a while back--Say what you want about "Friday", but she managed to pocket something like 40% of the gross revenues from download sales. Does she even need a record label at this point?
