Last week, I was looking into some CDs on the Rhino website. For some crazy reason, when I clicked on a CD to check its price and availability, the price and availability never came up, instead this little grey wheel just kept spinning around. I checked other CDs, the same thing. Thus I could never click on a CD to put it into my shopping cart.

I did discover one CD that I could place in the shopping cart, and this was one of the 4 CDs you see when you first arrive at the home page, those new ones at the top of the page. No others could be placed in the cart.

I sent multiple emails to Rhino, they did respond to thank me for pointing this out, but the problem hasn't been fixed.

Is anyone else out there in IMWAN land seeing this too?

Robin, are you using Firefox? It's my main browser, but they did something with 5.0 where a significant number of shopping websites don't work with it.

If you are using FF, try the site again with Opera 11.5.

Geff, I'm using Internet Explorer 8, which I've used for probably a year now (definitely for at least 8 months). No problems with Rhino prior to 2 weeks ago. Thanks...

OK, all is well now, sort of.

Per Geff's suggestion, I went ahead and downloaded the Firefox browser.
And using that I can now add items to the Rhino shopping cart.

But I still can't add items to the Rhino shopping cart using Internet Explorer.

Thanks again Geff !!

( and @#$%^&*! to IE and/or Rhino, argh.... )

That's hilarious; I was suggesting that Firefox was the PROBLEM!

Glad it worked, though. Guess it goes to show that FF isn't the only browser with Compatibility issues!

I had to use Opera for Pop Mart (Sony) the other day & there were a couple other sites I couldn't order from with FF 5 (I don't remember which ones). Last time I tried (awhile back), FF also wouldn't place an order on Suzanne Vega's site.

I haven't tried to order on Rhino in a long time, just brought it up as a possibility because FF 5 is having problems with some sites. i suspect the issue is that Ff added some anti redirect security in 5.x that isn't compatible with some sites.

I guess the lesson is download as many browsers as you need/can, and at least one of them is bound to work on a particular website, ugh...
