Went to Meijer tonight and found some things of interest for very cheap.
ALFRED HITCHCOCK COLLECTION (13 films on 5 DVDs): The Lady Vanishes, Sabotage, Blackmail, Jamaica Inn, Number 17, The Thirty-Nine Steps, The Man Who Knew Too Much (original), The Secret Agent, Murder, Young & Innocent, Juno and the Paycock, The Skin Game, and Rich and Strange. The only one of these I've seen before is The Thirty-Nine Steps, so I'm looking forward to this. ($7.99)
SHERLOCK HOLMES COLLECTOR'S EDITION: Dressed To Kill, Terror By Night, The Secret Weapon, and The Woman In Green. Rathbone and Bruce. ($4.99)
TO CATCH A THIEF: Cary Grant and Grace Kelly. Not one of Hitchcock's best, but one of his most entertaining. ($6.96)
A FEW GOOD MEN SPECIAL EDITION: A favorite, and damn cheap. ($9.99)
INSIDE MAN: Denzel Washington, Clive Owen, and Jodie Foster in a Spike Lee film. Haven't seen this before, but it looks good. ($9.99)
So basically, I got 20 movies for around 40 bucks.

F*** YOU, HAROLD!
My old roommate and I used to make fun of that line. That one and "He went UA - unauthorized absence." "I know what it means!"
That last exchange is brilliant because it's exposition. Of course Tom Cruise knows what it means, and of course in reality his co-star wouldn't have spelled out an acronym that each has used probably hundreds of times.
Long after that we would shout "I know what it means!" every time unnecessary exposition popped up in a movie or TV show.

Where is Meijers and how far is it from DC?
I would love to get a hold of the Hitchcock DVD. Probably too far to drive.

Matt, are you saying that Meijer is selling THIRTEEN Hitchcock films in a DVD package that costs eight dollars?
