The Blu-ray release of the Extended Editions is being supported by a series of one night-only theatrical screenings beginning June 14.

It's a little discouraging to find that the set that I thought would be definitive is really not. Apparently some if not all of the bonus material is on standard DVDs in this set. Sure, you get the movies themselves in Blu-Ray, but I don't get the bonus material not being in Blu-Ray too.

The bonus material was apparently all (or mostly) shot in standard def.

Best Buy has a really nice set that comes with 6 really cool-looking figurines (for those into that kinda thing).
