Really looking forward to this. Love the single. I am hoping the sound on this is better than the Under The Covers projects, though. I loved those, but the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired.

Legendary ladies The Bangles release their new album ‘Sweetheart Of The Sun‘ on September 13th, and we are very excited about this. The California-themed record will be their first since 2003′s ‘Doll Revolution’, and it sounds like a bittersweet affair if lead singer Susanna’s description is anything to go by:
“L.A. is like paradise–the sun shines 360 days a year, the flowers are always in bloom–but meanwhile, so many people are walking around alienated, depressed and anxious.”

You beat me to it Hank. The fact that there are only three sets of legs on the cover may be an indication that a replacement hasn't quite stuck yet either.
Big fan of All Over The Place, Different Light and Hoffs' second solo album. I thought Everything and Doll Revolution were pretty disappointing. I'm afraid The Bangles might owe a lot more of their success to David Kahne than they'd like to admit.
Looking forward to this one after hearing the first single though.

First impressions: this is a surprisingly good album. Great vocals and harmonies, melodic material, and tight playing. This honestly sounds like it could have come out in their hayday but without the more blatant commercial aspects (i.e., no "Eternal Flame" type tracks.)
And maybe best of all, "Open My Eyes" is the Nazz song.
