Yes, I think it's my favorite SS solo album. Though I also came close to duplicating your choice! LTOYW & Change Partners are right up there for me (at least Robert showed me the way to sneak It Doesn't Matter in, though!)

An aside: stills was not the sole writer of "it doesn't matter", chris hillman gets writing credit too. not that there's anything wrong with that

Rick Roberts (Flying Burritos, Firefall) was also a co-writer on "It Doesn't Matter." I think later versions of the Manassas album may credit him, I can't remember for sure. Firefall also recorded a version of that song.
I agree about Stephen's solo album "Stills." It's not my favorite of his, but it's a very strong album that hasn't gotten the respect it deserves. LOVE the cover of Neil's "New Mama."

"only love can break your heart" on "right by you"
"the loner" on "illegal stills"
