I know we've had this conversation in some form before, but really, can't someone get Brian May the phone number of Justin Hawkins? I was listening to this song again this morning and damn, all I could think of was Queen! It's not like Hawkins is too busy to do it. He's also got Freddie Murcury's teeth! In the words of Larry The Cable Guy...GIT R DONE!

Walter-I agree that Hawkins would be a nice choice-perfect voice and flamboyance (he could also play guitar harmonies with May because he's really good), but he IS busy because The Darkness have reunited and have been playing dates overseas and a new album is being made which I am pleased with because I loved the 2 they did especially the flop 2nd album produced by one Roy Thomas Baker!

If it had to be another "name", I would vote instead for Tom Chaplin from Keane...

While getting an singer with the appropriate range and style would be the right move this time around musically, May and Taylor really need to let Queen rest.

No Freddie = No Queen.

They seemed to respect that fact for about a decade and then, minus John Deacon, who wisely retired from the business, seemed to just take up with anyone (Anastacia being one of the first ones) who'd step up to the mike including, of course, Paul Rodgers.

If May and Taylor want to play together and do Queen music, fine. Call it Brighton Rock or something else, but Queen hasn't been Queen for nearly twenty years now.

And keep in mind, this is just my two cents. 8-)

George Michael should front Queen. Still.

There was a band called "Geneva" who recorded two albums and some very good singles.
Very cool band.I was floored when I heard this vocalist and band.

I agree 100% . I would love to see May , Taylor (and Deacon if he ever decided to come out of retirement) carry on under a different name .Freddie Mercury is one of the few singers that cannot be replaced . Replacing Ozzy with Dio was ok , even replacing Dio with Gillan worked imo . But Freddie Mercury is a different class of vocalist / performer . He was one of a kind . The Queen name needs to be retired before anything bad or negative can be said about it .

Too late.

But I'm sure Paul Rodgers would beg to differ.

He sounds more like Freddie than Freddie! Great choice.
