I've now listened to the live "Won't Get Fooled Again" on both the GHL and VFABP discs, and I'd like to retract my previous comment: A acoustic rhythm guitar can distinctly be heard, but it sounds like an overdub, and not something at all organic to the original live recording. I also can't hear it on the "5:15" recording purportedly from the same concert. Who, when, or why the guitar was added is unclear, although it sounds an awful lot like Pete's style of playing, and Pete certainly has access to the recording facilities to overdub any existing tape he wishes.
As for "View From A Backstage Pass"--Last year, when
http://www.thewho.com announced that a 40th anniversary edition of "Live At Leeds" would be the new fan club subscription premium, I wound up calling up a Live Nation operator and essentially begged for a copy of the VFABP disc that I had procrastinated buying for three years or so. It still cost me $50, but I did manage to get one. That may still work.
