Any feedback on sound and packaging quality?

Gear Fab. Apparently they've been around for about ten years, but I just stumbled upon their existence last week and haven't yet heard any of the CDs myself. Amazon reviews for their releases have been positive, though. Here's an example from one of their earliest remasters, a 2000 release of the self-titled 1970 album by Soup ...

Another review of Soup on Amazon mentions it's mastered from vinyl, which your quote sort of implies.
That worries me a bit.

FWIW, these two Gear Fab remasters I just posted specifically mention being taken from the original master tapes ...
