Product Description
Another great band whose only studio recordings lay dormant until now. From 1970, this band's sound is very reminiscent of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, The Allman Brothers, and Traffic. Great vocal harmonies, coupled with terrific swirling guitars and the ever present sound of the B3 Hammond organ make this one great release. The ninth installment of the Louisville Music Series.

1. Taking Back Roads
2. Chessboard Kings
3. I Feel Like I'm Gonna Die
4. Kwak
5. Sunny Days
6. Kentucky Roads
7. Innocence Of My Mind
8. In The Summertime
9. I Think It's Kind Of Nice
10. Mother Rat
11. Words
12. It's Your Land

Not familiar with the Fab Gear label.

Any feedback on sound and packaging quality?

Gear Fab. :) Apparently they've been around for about ten years, but I just stumbled upon their existence last week and haven't yet heard any of the CDs myself. Amazon reviews for their releases have been positive, though. Here's an example from one of their earliest remasters, a 2000 release of the self-titled 1970 album by Soup ...

Well, we all waited a real long time, but after 30 years we finally have SOUP on C.D. The folks at Gear Fab did a real nice job on both the sound quality and the packaging. The original vinyl was hardly virgin but this sounds much cleaner, specifically "I'm So Sorry".

Thanks Linda.....I was thinking Gear Fab but typed Fab Gear LOL

Another review of Soup on Amazon mentions it's mastered from vinyl, which your quote sort of implies.
That worries me a bit.

FWIW, these two Gear Fab remasters I just posted specifically mention being taken from the original master tapes ...
