And yet another Hollies DVD might see the light of day. I saw this mentioned on 2 Hollies websites, the Voiceprint/Gonzo website, and listed on Amazon US & UK. The date seems to keep slipping, but CD Universe is showing it as 7-12-11. Here's a description from Voiceprint/Gonzo:

The Lost Broadcasts are a series of Audio and Visual CD/DVD sets featuring performances that have rarely been seen since the original transmission on German television, in some cases more than forty years ago. Some of the artists featured within the series are legendary and these "Lost" performances will be a fine addition to any music fans collection. The series covers a number of styles and genres however all of the performances are of a high calibre and like a fine wine have a vintage quality about them. Watch and listen now to some of the greatest musical performances from some of the world's finest artists once thought lost but now found and released for your listening and viewing pleasure. Ladies and gentlemen, I present The Lost Broadcasts

Hailing from Manchester the Hollies were formed in the early sixties by Graham Nash and Allan Clarke. The band soon acquired a solid reputation and was signed to the Parlophone record label in 1963. The Hollies are considered one of the most successful bands of the sixties and seventies The band is also one of the few bands also to have stayed together rather than split and then re form. Many members have come and gone in the group's lifetime but the band is still led by founder member Tony Hicks and long-time member Bobby Elliott.

The sessions featured on this CD/DVD package run from May 1966 through to June 1982.

From the sixties we have various sessions spanning May 1966 through to March 1969 and including versions of some of the bands biggest hits including I Can't Let Go, Look Through Any Window, Carrie Ann, Jennifer Eccles Sorry Suzane and Listen To Me. There is also the very rare outing of Blowin' In the Wind

From the seventies we have the band running through Jennifer Eccles and Sorry Suzanne. There is one final performance of Sorry Suzanne from 1982 bringing this collection to an end.

As a collection of both hits and B sides this really does cover the Hollies Lost Broadcasts and as such is a fascinating document of a band that still performs to huge crowds today and are as popular as ever.

While The Hollies still continue to perform throughout the World the band were also inducted into the Rock n Roll hall Of Fame in early 2010 and the award was accepted on behalf of the band by Alan Clarke, Graham Nash, Eric Haydock, Bernie Calvert and Terry Sylvester.

None of the 10 "The Lost Broadcasts" DVD/CD sets were ever released, and they are no longer mentioned at the website of Gonzo Multimedia(the successor to "Voiceprint"). I would suspect that objections from artists, artist estates & the record labels who originally released those artists' music are the reason why the DVD/CD sets never appeared. The series would have included titles by The Hollies, The Byrds, Blodwyn Pig, The Nice, Eric Burdon, Fotheringay and others.
