The Godfather vs. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Guns, grit and blood. Coppola's gangster epic. Leone's western epic.

No interest in the Godfather movies, and I love The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, so this one was pretty easy.

One of the easiest for me by far... The Godfather.

I don't need to think much about this one. The Godfather is a near perfect film, a sweeping Shakespearean epic with an amazing cast of characters, tragedy, and roads down which all choices lead to no good. The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is a great western and helped redefine the genre, but I don't think it's in the same ballpark as The Godfather.

Godfather, although neither film would draw me back for a second viewing. It's just a much more epic, powerful film, even with its (to me) flaws.

For me, the Eastwood/Wallach/Van Cleef triumvirate trumps everything. Any one of them would have gut-shot Brando in a second

I don't like the Godfather much-pacing issues-so I went with the Good, Bad, Ugly, even if I am not sure it deserves to go so far either.

Not a tough choice for me, The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly trumps The Godfather(for me).

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly is the cooler choice of the two movies. But Godfather is better overall.

I always loved The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly over The Godfather. Easy vote for me too. I grew up watching Clint's movie. Love it every time I see it.

Godfather for me. As much as I enjoy TGTB&TU, I can't say as I've ever been able to watch the whole thing without falling asleep. Sure, I've seen the entire movie -- but not at once.

GBU for me. How can anyone top Clint Eastwood?

What Frank said. Eastwood is a walking, talking Tale of Awesome, to be sure, but when you stack up the Corleone family ... sorry, Clint.

Going into the weekend, last few days of voting, and a match that will decide the final four, I figured this would be a good time for a BUMP.

I'm glad you bumped it. I somehow missed it the first time around. Godfather gets my vote.
