I'm not a huge collector of music DVD's, but tonight, in anticipation of the big Stones singles box set due next week, I was browsing the DVD catalog of the Rolling Stones here on my laptop. Interestingly, previously bootleg-only films such as "Ladies And Gentlemen, The Rolling Stones" and "Rock And Roll Circus" are now both readily available, but it turns out "Let's Spend The Night Together" was OOP for a few years before being reissued last year, and used copies of the "Voodoo Lounge" DVD start at about $35, as that disc is currently OOP as well.

But what about:

1. A clip from "Cocksucker Blues" was supposedly included on a bonus DVD with the superdeluxe "Exile On Main Street" box, leading to speculation that an authorized version this film will finally be released. A year later, we're still waiting. But what material was seen on the "Exile" DVD--and how did it look?

2. "The Stones In The Park"--Believe it or not, I used to have this on an imported laser disc from, I believe, Japan. IIRC, the film was produced by the BBC, and there appear to be a few versions of quasi-legal status out there to be had. Does anybody know what the deal is with this film? I take it that the Stones don't own it?

3. "25 x 5" was a two-and-a-half hour documentary originally released direct to VHS for $19.99 in 1990, and the very first pre-recorded VHS tape I ever purchased. A precursor of sorts to "The Beatles Anthology", it is also one of the greatest authorized anthologies ever made. It also was released on laser disc but is now long OOP. I'd love to have an updated version of this documentary on DVD, but even the original would do.

4. "Video Rewind"--an hour-long anthology of Stones music videos from the early 1980's (I believe it was released at the same time as the "Rewind (1971-84)" best-of) which featured specially filmed interstitial scenes with Bill Wyman.

5. Any guesses as to whether the "Voodoo Lounge" concert will ever make it back to DVD? I remember when the album came out, there was also a much ballyhooed "Voodoo Lounge" CD-ROM which, as much as I tried, I never found for sale anywhere in the pre-internet days. I think the advent of Windows '95 might have hastened the obsolescence of this disc (as it did with the Dylan "Highway 61 Interactive" disc) but I'm seeing the "Voodoo Lounge" CD-ROM available on Amazon for less than $5. Did anybody ever get the chance to try out this disc?

6. I'm also looking to see how cheap the "Four Flicks" and "The Biggest Bang" sets will be going for in the coming days.

I bought a bootleg DVD of Video Rewind, dubbed from the VHS tape. It's got a few extra videos on it, recorded off VH1 Classic. It's watchable but not high quality.

I'm hoping that, given some loosening of the vaults lately, a DVD collection of all their videos will appear some day.

I've still got my VHS copy of 25 X 5--I'd love to see an updated version, but it'll probably never happen.

25x5 is on my wish list as well. A couple of dvd boots exist. The version on RSVP is superior (or so they say.)
