Despite some talk about it, I didn't see a thread for this yet...

I was going to pass this one up since I already own the material but it turns out they're recoloring this puppy...

It looks like it's being recolored, but still preserving the flat style of the era, which is good. I don't like it when they do the heavily rendered style on a comic that was published when that wasn't done.

I thought that the re-coloring of the Kirby stories in the Warrior's Three hardcover was beautiful and added to the story.

Don't worry, we'll come up with some plan to rape it off Barnes and Noble.

Yep, could have pre-ordered it for 1/2 of the online price of $73. That's $36.50 for you non-math-boys.

I tried that and B&N denied me because the book was not eligible for the promotion.

That would have worked on me, if I worked at Barnes and Noble.

Yeah, I think someone in that thread said that it wasn't eligible for pre-orders, only books in stock.

It seemed to differ from clerk to clerk. They had to read the fine print.

Nope, multiple pre-orders were done. One by me, others by . . . .others.

I think they exclude certain types of fanboy comic editions. Because those can be stockpiled and there is a ready-made market for them on ebay and at conventions.
