OK, probably an old topic but I still looking for the best sounding version of Phil's ITAT. I have the CD, the Gold CD and the Serious Hits Live DVD and so far, the Gold CD has it overall (and not by much). The regular CD seems more dull and the Serious Hits Live DVD should have been great but it has his headset mic sounding like he is 12 years old or something.
Any other suggestions? Thanks, Lar

Best sounding version I've ever heard was a Japan 7" single I used to have.

I like the Atlantic gold CD version best. The Hits version sounds pretty good too.
The original made in Japan for US CD of the Miami Vice soundtrack may also be good since it was supposedly mastered by Steve Hoffman.
