I'm really not as eloquent as some other folks writing, so I don't think I'll do an episode by episode. I'm enjoying the series. Anyone else watched this?

The Brotherhood remake, apparently. I just read a bit about the two. It was on my Netflix and I had heard good things about it. Is the remake weak compared to the original?

Haven't watched the remake. And I never did watch the whole original series (it lost me at some point).

Ah. Sorry to hear that. Maybe that's why they remade it? I've been trying not to read anything about it because I want to watch the series.
I will say that for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, you have to give the first two or three episodes a chance. It's a bit fragmented, and if you don't get/like anime/manga, then you'll probably bail. But the story is compelling, if not very dark. Definably teen and up.
