Various reports have these coming this summer/fall (Including a box set and the Red and Blue albums).

Some titles already showing up on amazon uk.

Should get interesting once the prices get realistic and news of domestic releases comes.

Bump: I've added the full spread of titles available for pre-order from Amazon UK to the first post. The Red and Blue compilations are released on May 30th, followed by the original Beatles catalogue plus the Past Masters singles collection on September 12th. (Oh, and Past Masters is currently showing with the picture sleeve art for Stevie Wonder's "Master Blaster". :?)

Perhaps Stevie's provided an exclusive harmonica sample! :-o
Anyway it does appear that the remastered vinyl will be with us as they gradually restore their vinyl back catalog. :yay:
I think from past comments elsewhere that the European issues will be pressed at Record Industries in the Netherlands with product containing UK catalog numbers. The last issues of the old digitally remastered vinyl were done there although the jackets retained the "Made in England" Sleeve Manufactured in England" text.

No listing for a box set? Mono versions?
Are the words "LIMITED", "EDITION" or "NUMBERED" to be found anywhere in the listings?

Ugh... after the CD releases in '09 I'm very hesitant about any new releases.
A box set would be nice though. Mono too.

The German Amazon (Amazon.de) is listing the releases too. Prices are quite a bit different but the release dates are the same.

U.K. Singles $44.13 U.S.
U.K. Doubles $56.99 U.S.

German Singles $33.50 U.S.
German Doubles $43.27 U.S.

The initial rumors are that PALLAS in Germany may be pressing the lps, and if they are, nobody does it better.... but they might be done in the Netherlands or ???

For those who weren't this into it in the golden days of vinyl:

I don't know if it's still this way, but back in the day vinyl quality used to go something like this:

Best: Japan
2. Germany
3. Most of the rest of Europe
4. Canada
5. USA
6 Mexico, Israel, China, etc

My point is if these releases are important to you buy the German or British!

It would be really great (and profitable for them, I think) to, at least, make 2009 remastered vinyl mono versions of Sgt. Pepper and The White Album available. A mono vinyl White Album would be a novelty for most U.S. customers. I'd be first in line for both.

I'm pretty much set with Beatles product:the 2009 Mono & stereo CD boxes, a complete set of the 1981 Japanese Red Vinyl monos, and the stereo albums on a combination of Mobile Fidelity vinyl & Toshiba/EMI Japanese vinyl. If the forthcoming British vinyl were to re-create the album covers as they were fabricated in the 1960's(laminated, with the front folding over the upper and lower part of the rear artwork), I might consider buying, but that is unlikely. The old Hayes,Middlesex pressing plant(though no longer owned by EMI) is still in existence, but EMI is opting not to use that facility to press the forthcoming reissues. Authenticity should dictate that the records be pressed at Hayes.

The only way I would consider buying anymore Beatles would be a stereo remaster done right (i.e. the Japanese EMI vinyl box), & I would be resentful as hell about spending the $'s again.

Amazon Japan has the vinyl listed on their site, so the curiosity got the best of me and I emailed my distributor in Tokyo to see if they have any information, prices, etc. If EMI will be pressing lps in Japan, I may have no choice but to jump on the bandwagon. The last time they released the vinyl versions, everything was absolutely pristine. Here's hoping.........

Bump: Amazon UK is now showing the correct, finalised artwork for all of the vinyl titles (see first post). The vinyl editions of the remastered Red and Blue compilations appear to have been cancelled, but the original albums plus Past Masters are firmly on schedule for release in the UK on September 12th. (No sign of domestic releases yet -- in fact, Amazon USA hasn't even listed the British imports.) Also note that the Yellow Submarine vinyl release won't be the soundtrack, but the songtrack version.

Jim, please post if you get anything definite about mastering & sources used!

These aren't going to be cheap.............

The Amazon UK site no longer has info or ability to order for these titles. If you search you can't find them. If you click on the links above you just get the album artwork. I saw them fully listed and available to order just the other day. Wonder what's up?

Update: A friend that placed an order earlier has told me he received an email from AmazonUK that they are no longer available. Trying to get him to send me the email so I can confirm.

Here is one email for one LP ordered...
"We regret to inform you that we have been unable to obtain the following item:

The Beatles "Sgt.Pepper's Lonely.. [VINYL]"
http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0041KVXLK/?tag=imwan-21

Our supplier has informed us that this item is no longer available. This item has now been cancelled from your order # and we can confirm that you have not been charged for it."

He said he received an email for the White Album as well.

German Amazon is showing a Sept. 12th release for the majority of the single lps at 23.99 euros ( $27.35 approx.)

I don't understand why anyone(even the vinyl revival fad folks) are so eagerly looking forward to these grossly overpriced vinyl reissues. You'll inevitably get better playback from clean condition used British L.P.'s from the 1960's, 1970's or 1980's; records pressed when EMI/UK had their own pressing plant; when EMI had direct control over quality. Even better yet: 1980's Toshiba/EMI Japanese L.P.'s, or the Mobile Fidelity L.P.'s(though some find them to be overly E.Q.'d and bright).

Remember: The Beatles sold hundreds of millions of records. There's plenty of used vinyl out there, and a substantial amount of it in good condition.

My post is just a FYI since they aren't showing anywhere else. We have the EMI/TOSHIBA Blue Box, and about 45-50 other Japanese EAS series lps so I don't really need another reissue taking up more space in my house.
