We moved to Eastern California, once, and this was all over town. More popular than Pepsi, or anything.
Just re-discovered it for sale in our local Wal-Mart. I likes it!

Yeah, I've had it a few times ( though I haven't seen it in a while). It's a good root beer.

When I was in Australia, I had a ginger beer called "Dark & Stormy." Is that still around and is it only available in Australia?

Frostie is an exceptional root beer!! I used to get it in Florida on the annual family vacation, years ago, and I loved it. Can't find it here in my part of VA, though. Bummer.

It used to be sold in Ohio (where I am originally from) and no other root beer I ever had tasted quite like it.

Yes, I've drunk it. But I've very seldom seen it. On the rare occasions when I drink soda, a root beer is as likely a choice as any.

I've never come across Frostie, though you have to love that name.

Our local micro-brewery also makes its own brand of root beer ...

Quite good, though a little pricey.

Route 66 is also pretty good, and more reasonably priced ...

It's mainly available west of the Mississippi, but I sampled some at a local deli-bagel shop.

I also remember Rochester Root Beer ...
Image

The old Blue Ribbon Dairy -- just a mile or so down the road from my folk's house -- used to have a draft dispenser like that one.

Don't know if Rochester is still in business. I never saw the stuff in bottles.

And, alas, the Blue Ribbon Dairy went out of business decades ago.

I've had Frostie Grape and Frostie Orange, but never the RB.

Here's my favorite: Henry Weinhard's Root Beer.

"Frostie, man .... Frostie!"

I loved drinking this root beer, back in the late-60's/early-70's !!

I remember especially the textured glass bottles (which you had to return for the deposit), and the cork-lined metal bottle caps
