I'm glad they're finally adapting an existing work where they won't have to cut out half the story to fit it in 75 minutes.

I really can't wait for this one. I hope they stick very close to Mazzuchelli's designs. I agree with Timm that it is a better story than TDKR.

He did not fuck it up - he redefined it and in a good way - this was my first exposure to Batman and made me a fan for life - everything pre-crisis (or pre-Year one) reads like luekwarm crap to me (especially that shitty mini you posted by Byrne)..but hey to each his own...we all have our favorites.

They're saving that for the live-action Dark Knight 3 and flying in special guest director Kevin Smith to do that scene.

I thought Collins screwed up Jason Todd's history


He did that, too. But he retconned Batman firing Dick Grayson as Robin because he got injured. So instead of outgrowing the sidekick role and becoming his own man, Dick Grayson had to become Nightwing it because Batman wouldn't play with him anymore.

Loved what he did with Alfred (no matter why he did it) and Catwoman. I wonder if she'll still be a butch prostitute in the animated movie? :)
