~That was my 6th GRAMMY nomination, and so far I have yet to win one!~
~Oh well! ~ Just call me the "Susan Lucci of the Blues"!~



Now....never one to slow down for a minute, I have some exciting news to announce! I have just signed on with Stony Plain Records to do not one, but TWO new albums! One will be a tribute to my favorite Blues Woman of all time - The great Memphis Minnie. I have invited Bonnie Raitt, Rory Block, Ruthie Foster, Phoebe Snow, as well as Del Rey, Suzy Thompson and others to join me in this loving tribute. We'll be working on this album over the next few months and it will be released early next year. This album will be all acoustic and pay tribute to the great songwriting, guitar playing and singing of Memphis Minnie, keeping true to the original Country Blues style in which she performed.

In the meantime and in-between time, I'll be going to New Orleans in late March and recording an all electric album of blusey, funky, swampy, soulful tunes - (what I call "Bluesiana" music). I'm assembling an A-Team of my favorite players down in the Crescent City for this project and expect this album to be released some time in July.
