Except for those rare crossover events---which used to come about three in ten years---and of course, Ross' covers---you never get to see opponents from different comics universes get to mix it up. I mean, just because Mom and Dad, like any civilian, might think they're buying a comic book with Hulk, Spidey, Bat-Man, Catwoman and the Joker all in a rumble doesn't mean you're really getting to see that (see cover to Defenders #61 and squint through civilian eyes). So---who's the cross universe fight (and/or team-up) you've always wanted to see??? Whose villain do you want to see fight YOUR hero? (i.e. Solar Man of the Atom vs Galactus, Spider-Man versus the Secret Six, Iron Man versus Gorilla Grodd---you get the idea!)

Bat-Man and Robin versus the Green Goblin (hell, throw in who you'd like to draw it or write it if you will!)

The Fantastic Four versus Kirby's DC villains (since most of his early '70s stuff had been developed for the FF in the first place). That could make quite a good maxiseries in the right hands.

I know what you mean about people mistaking the (Heart-Thumpin') Hellcat for Catwoman. In my grad student days I put a lovely picture of her bounding across the rooftops with a bunch of cats up on the wall of the office I shared with a couple of other teaching asisstants. They thought it was Catwoman. And were amazed to learn that I read comics.

The brilliant part would be watching Batman try to catch him in a crime for which Fisk can be charged (since he stopped running around stealing ancient tablets), and a head-to-head fight would make a great commission! Bendis v. the Watchmen Shang-Chi v the Joker (still haven't come up w/ THE match-up for Blue Beetle)

Hellcat versus Two Face Machine Man and Rom versus Braniac and the Dire Wraiths (now there's a band name!) John Constantine versus Nightmare

That could make quite a good maxiseries in the right hands. Did you have a team in mind? (You should plot it ) When I think DC Kirby villains, I think Apocalypse...but why not time-platform the FF to Kamandi's world, too? Dated as it might be, I'd love to have a set of Fourth World books just for the sheer Kirby. I think I might dig Kamandi the most of his DC work, of all the things I've notread..Mr. Miracle's his book I know best from that era. I don't really know Dr. Gideon et. al You're right, if Kirby held back new ideas for Fantastic Four before going over, as we always hear, there must have been some fertile match-up in the King's mind...the commercial appeal of this idea is stunning. Judging from Tom Strong and "Whatever Happened to ..." Alan Moore's the first guy who comes to mind. I'd love to see it tied together (i.e. that crossover with Kamandi's world could contain a salient plot point, with the right Maguffin...).

Yah, Junkie, George Perez is the go-to man for that one!

The Fearsome Five (ala New Teen Titans) vs. the Uncanny X-Men by Claremont and Byrne. Then, reverse it and have The Teen Titans vs. the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants by Wolfman and Perez. Finally, finish the mini-series with a team-up of ALL of them in a double size, shocking conclusion and have Wolfman and Byrne do it. This would be Claremont, Wolfman, Perez, and Bryne in their prime, of course. I would want a variation of this poster with the Outsiders switched out for the X-Men

Daredevil vs. the Gotham City rogues gallery would be cool.
