I enjoyed the PBS broadcastt, especially when Imelda May was singing a la Mary Ford (that is, Paulverized). I saw the May Band on the Graham Norton Show recently doing a song from her new album, They rocked! A tour with Jeff and that band will be lots of fun!!

The link was put there by me, of course.
Ordering Japanese titles directly from Amazon USA is usually too expensive, but I swear by their third party dealers. Blow It Outa Here (a favourite of mine) is currently showing the Beck import it at the above link for $31 and change, plus postage. I don't know how that compares to CD Japan, if they charge postage or what, but I prefer dealing with domestic-based businesses.
Do what works best for you. Don't overpay just to support IMWAN. Pay good prices so you'll have more money for more music, and spend some of that through our Amazon links.

Is there a difference? I mean, pressed vs. otherwise? Curious, because I love the CD I have from Amazon. And will now have to get the Japan version of the disc! (Hate that, but need that!).

Factory pressed cd's will likely last longer then burned & are much more scratch resistant. There is also a HUGE variance in the quality of blank cdr's. I don't know what Amazon is using, but many of the larger companies use "Prodisc" which imo is junk media.

Okay, couldn't resist, went to Best Buy and bought it with the extra disc (which I already own from Amazon.com, but still). Am looking forward to the Japanese edition as well for those two bonus tracks. BUT, I discovered that iTunes has something not on my domestic CD. It isn't being touted as an exclusive, as far as I can tell, but track 21 on iTunes is "Baby, Let's Play House" (featuring Darrel Higham). Available as a single download.
Listened to the CD once through already and love it. Especially his collaborations with Imelda May!

I also bought the Best Buy version for Grammy Museum disc. My CDJapan version shipped. Awaiting the DVD from Amazon.
I'm really enjoying the CD....listened to it a few times already. I love Remember Walking In The Sand.
He's doing a small east coast tour on this album next month with Imelda May and her band.....going to the local New Jersey show, looking forward to it even more after hearing this.

Grammy Museum question.- for those who bought the CD-r through Amazon, are there also fade outs between each song on that version?

Picked up the BB 2 disc today. For those familiar with Les Paul's recordings I have a question:
I mostly expected bubbly 40's pop, which we get with the Imelda May tracks, & it isn't at all bad. For those who haven't heard this, Ms May does a great Andrews Sisters impersonation (all 3 of them at once!!).
What I don't get is the Rockabilly. I read in the liner notes that Beck wanted a "rockabilly atmosphere", but my ? is: did Les Paul ever play rockabilly? It seems totally out of place from what little I know of LP.
Mind you, I don't own ANY rockabilly (well at least none other then Dave Edmunds & Rockpile) & Beck is almost always good, so I don't really mind, but I am curious.
