I've always been a huge Simonson fan.

Looking at that Manhunter page, I can see that his work greatly influenced that of Tim Sale.

Wow. I wish Marvel had let him use that "A" insignia on Reed and Sue for real.

After reading the first and only Orion trade, I now wish that I had picked up the remaining issues of this book. An underrated work by Simonson - good stuff if you haven't seen it.

I guess my first exposure to Simonson was this...

blew me AWAY.

Then I was given a stack of Batman comics with two Simonson issues that were just as good.

That's when I knew that this guy was the real thing.

Simonson Thor was the bomb -- the Beta Ray Bill saga was one of the freshest storylines to come along in years, and the art was so grounbreaking. ( Really, it was more the inking style that was new and fresh -- I think Frank Miller opened up the editor's eyes towards letting a book take on a stylistic look with the author's unique look instead of inking more towards a house style)

Likewise. I must have read his run on Thor 100 times growing up. And his short FF run is hugely underrated and may be second only to Lee and Kirby. Especially the Reed/Doom time travel battle!

I like how Logan is an afterthought on that cover.

Wow. I've never noticed that.

It wouldn't happen today for sure.

Yeah, Beast Boy is way too popular, now.
