I just saw a story in Inside Edition about a nationwide group (club, website, gimmick thing, whatever) of people who dress up in superhero style costumes a la Kickass, or like the fad that started in the 1930's in the world of Watchmen.

Check it out -- it's kind of unnervingly real. There's a video of the story at the link.
