2 reasons:
(1) Lothar's mouth didn't move (2) Jennifer Connelly didn't appear in lingerie

BTW, it's not going to ever happen, but if THIS were the opening music to a Fantastic Four movie, am I the only one who would think it would be appropriate?

It takes a lot of work to synch them both up.

Bill Campbell played the lead in The Rocketeer. I misremembered him as Bruce Campbell.
Maybe if the Rocketeer was killing Nazis with a chain saw attached to his arm???

Great movie, but it went up against Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and City Slickers on the opening weekend, and T2 's premier on the following weekend. It never had the chance to catch up. Did great in rentals and TV though.

I have the complete set of trading cards that were offered at the time of the movie.
The kids eventually lost the Pizza Hut Rocketeer helmet cups. Those were sweet.

I loved the Rocketeer when I was eleven. Not sure I want to watch it now; I might find it hokey and cheesey as an adult.

Must have been a forgettable movie, because I don't remember just a whole lot about it. What I mainly remember was watching it with a guy who was a grad student in physics. Afterward he and his roommate got to work doing the math to figure out how long a real-life rocket pack using real-life fuel would keep someone airborne. I think it was about 30 seconds. Nothing like watching science fiction with a scientist-in-training.

Jan Levenson from The Office is the South Seas club singer in The Rocketeer.

And she was the original actress cast as Marty McFly's girlfriend. Other true "Jan" fax

I saw this movie for the first time a year or so ago and thought it was terrible, sorry. Great concept, great design, but that's all I'll give it.
