Neither of them are especially well regarded as leaders of a team. Batman wouldn't want to be, and Superman isn't really a tactician or planner. Nightwing has been shown to be an outstanding leader with the Titans. I'd go with Cap first though, as Twitchy said.

Bolt, communicator, then I started thinking about Banshee trying to be a sniper, and the rest... I think the Man-Thing would've been a terrific choice as point-man/ navigator, too, and the dog Green Lantern, G'Nort, for interrogator. I nominate Volstagg for lead climber but then bow to your wisdom. I think Groo the Wanderer would be
the right commander for this crew. I hear them crying vociferously at their assignments, as rendered by Fred Hembeck.
