I absolutely LOVED the 'Redwall' books when I was younger.
There was nothing 'kiddie' about them. There was a lot of violence, and even beloved characters could, and would, die.
They always seemed epic.
RIP to their author and creator, Brian Jacques, you passed away yesterday.
I still hope that, should I ever have children, my kids will get as much from these books as I did.
