Love Toth. He did quite a few Dell Four Color issues, and not just the
Zorro issues (which are amazing). All worth having.

Check out the Toth scans (with his handwritten story notes) that I posted in this thread about "old-fashioned" art.

I think the story "The Survivor" shows how influential he was, because the style looks like something that could have been drawn today.

I REALLY want to read the story with the giant lizard now!

I'm also trying to place Black Canary's bike on that color page. But I can't see enough of it.

It is also available in B&W in The Alex Toth Reader Vol. 1, if you find it:

From the photos of the movie on the first page, I do believe the people who made The Last Dinosaur acquired that T-Rex model to make their pile of garbage movie some years later.
The worst acting in the worst movie ever. So bad it's not even "so bad it's good". It's just horrifying. Richard Boone should have been shot with his Rifle(man).

But the dino in question shows up halfway through the trailer.

Alex Toth couldn't have saved it. :)

Here's the Land Unknown trailer to go along with Toth's artwork above:

I loved that movie on TV as a kid.

It had a haunting theme song where she actually sings the words "The Last . . . Dino . . Soorrrrrrr."

One of my favorite Toth works is "Dirty Job" from a 1972 issue
of Our Army at War:

I think they said "Dirty Job" just one too many times, though.

That last page needed no text.

Agreed. And after the Title, the next panel, he should have said "JOB"
instead of "Dirty Job."

But then you watched it and that was the end of the excitement, right?
