From the band's website:

Triumph is one of Canada's greatest Hard Rock bands. With 10 classic albums released between 1976 and 1987, they have left an indelible mark on the history of Hard Rock, Melodic Rock and are nowadays considered among the forefathers of Progressive Metal.

Epitomizing the essence of the Power trio sound: Rik Emmett (guitar and vocals), Mike Levine (bass and keyboards) and Gil Moore (drums and vocals) are regarded as virtuoso musicians in their own right and great entertainers thanks to the Triumph concert spectacle that was second to none.

Frontiers Records is therefore proud to announce that the official reissues of Triumph’s 10 classic albums, in digipak version and with the original tracklistings, will be released on December 3rd.

"In The Beginning" (1976)
"Rock and Roll Machine" (1977)
"Just a Game" (1979)
"Progressions of Power" (1980)
"Allied Forces" (1981)
"Never Surrender" (1983)
"Thunder Seven" (1984)
"Stages" (Live) (1985)
"The Sport of Kings" (1986)
"Surveillance" (1987)

All CDs have been remastered and feature an extensive booklet including lyrics.

In addition, Frontiers will issue a very limited collector’s edition Box Set entitled Diamond Collection which will include all the 10 albums in vinyl replica, and will feature the artwork from the original vinyl edition of the albums.

While future plans remain uncertain for the band, and after the recent reunion shows, the time to re-live the impressive legacy of their music has come. This new set of reissues is a real present to the Triumph fans, both old and new, who now have the opportunity to own these timeless masterpieces of Classic Rock. Enjoy !

What I'd like to know is, are these newly remastered or the same ones from the 2000's? It seems these are new. Also, do they use the horrid new mixes, that appeared on the new Greatest Hits/Remixed CD/DVD package? I hope not, and it seems not, but it's unclear.
I love these guys and I have most of the TML remasters, but I'd be up for these if they are indeed new remasters and NOT the remixes.

I'm curious, too. I have the Japanese mini-LP of Just A Game from 2007, and I wasn't pleased with its loud remastering.

They probably used the same sources which were Triumph's own remastering by Brett Zilahi at Metalworks and they were too damn loud for sure.
If they do new, more subtle remastering, plus the liner notes and digipaks I'm definitely in-but if they use the new remixes HELL NO!

I just checked the mini-LP credits. Yoshiro Kuzumkai (CM Punch) is credited with the 24 bit remastering.

The previous previous remaster by Bob Ludwig sounds the best to me.

Any bonus material? Will they be relased individually?

Individually-yes. Bonus material-no, but there were no liner notes before or digipaks.

These are now listed individually at $21.49 a pop. No way in hell I'd pay that, but hopefully the prices resemble sanity as it gets closer. The new Greatest Hits Remixed was on Frontiers and came out around $14.99 here, so I'd hope it gets in that area or cheaper.

Pete,

The ones priced at $21.49 which are currently listed at Amazon are imports. These are going to be domestic releases too, right?

Not sure. Frontiers generally does US releases, but the fans on the Triumph website don't know if they're coming out here or in Canada either.
Their deal is with Frontiers which is a good label, and you'd think with their main fanbase being here and in Canada those remasters would come out here. That's why I think the Amazon releases are showing as import only thus far.
It would be bizarre if these were only available overseas!

I have to say, I wasn't. I thought they were excessively loud and there were no liner notes or anything. If these are even a slight improvement and can be had at a decent price I'm getting these. I'll have to wait and see.

From Classicrockmagazine.com (I guess these are on the way Dec. 6 and are import only? I'm still trying to find out):

Canadian hard rock masters Triumph are to reissue 10 of their albums in digipack format on December 6 through Frontiers. To celebrate, we are giving away a song from each album as a Track Of The Day over the next couple of weeks. Today it’s a track from Rock & Roll Machine. Check out all Tracks Of The Day here.
Rock & Roll Machine was the second album from the trio of Rik Emmett (guitar/vocals), Mike Levine (bass/vocals) and Gil Moore (drums/vocals). Released in 1977, it was the band’s first to chart, reaching Number 19 in Canada, and making the Top 200 in the US. This was also the trio’s first international release, and outside of their native country Rock & Roll Machine was actually a compilation of tracks, including some from their self-titled debut (now known as In The Beginning).

Now you can download the song Rock & Roll Machine itself for free here.

Find out more at http://www.triumphmusic.com

Rock & Roll Machine will also be part of a 10-CD limited edition box set, featuring the original vinyl artwork for each album.

I'm still trying to figure out the cheapest way to get these-AmazonUK or the band's website.

Metal Shrine has issued a new interview with TRIUMPH bassist Mike Levine. The following is an excerpt:

Q: Any thoughts of writing a new album?
A: "You know, we've danced around that a little bit, but we're all of the inclination that if we were to go into the studio we're like 'Let's get three incredible songs!' Like incredible songs, not just songs. Stuff that we think is exceptional and do three songs and sit back, look at it and see and then move on from there, kind of thing. But we don't really have a serious plan of recording an entire album, at this stage anyway."

Q: Are you writing music constantly or…?

A: "On and off. I'll sit at the piano or pick up the guitar and work on some stuff and I'll phone Gil and play it for him. We go back and forth every now and then, but everybody's busy with their own stuff unfortunately."

As previously reported, the fans spoke, and now they have gotten what they wanted. Triumph has launched a brand new, completely overhauled website and online store, for all your Triumph needs!

The website will serve as both the band’s official website and as a community for Triumph’s devoted worldwide following.

The new site (whose URL will remain TriumphMusic.com) will feature streaming music, videos, classic interviews and memorabilia, as well as many other options for fans to learn the history behind one of Canada's greatest hard rocking bands.

Additionally, by going to Triumph's new site, you'll be able to access the group's Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter pages, as well as the group's official YouTube page (comprised of kick-ass, vintage video clips), and the Triumph iLike page, where you can purchase downloads of Triumph music.

As the site content continues to grow, Triumph fans will be treated to exclusive free music downloads, a monthly newsletter, fan forum, and online store featuring rare merchandise bundles, including t-shirts, signed CDs, posters, videos, etc., among other goodies.

Right now, there are a total of four "bundles" for sale. There are three different bundles for the Greatest Hits release (including a "digital bundle" , a "classic bundle" and a "deluxe bundle" ), as well as a "limited edition bundle" for the band's classic 1977 release, Rock & Roll Machine (a release that celebrated its 33rd anniversary of release this past November).

On December 3rd, Frontier Records released, in Europe only, official reissues of Triumph's ten classic albums, in digipak version and with the original track listings.

These albums include In The Beginning (1976), Rock & Roll Machine(1977), Just a Game (1979), Progressions Of Power (1980), Allied Forces (1981), Never Surrender (1983), Thunder Seven (1984), Stages (Live) (1985), The Sport Of Kings (1986), and Surveillance (1987).

The CDs have been remastered and have an extensive booklet including lyrics. For the serious Triumph fan, Frontiers has released, also in Europe only, a very limited edition collector’s Box Set, entitled Diamond Collection, which will include all the 10 albums in vinyl replica, featuring the artwork from the original vinyl editions of the albums.

By special arrangement, the Triumph online store has imported 300 Box Sets that are available for sale in North America. The Box Sets are numbered and will not be sold anywhere else.

Keep an eye on TriumphMusic.com and visit it frequently, as you never know what surprises, exclusive content, and sales may lay in store for you.

The general release of the mini LP sleeve box might have been delayed. Amazon UK shows it as out of stock, although Spin claims to have it and is offering it on Amazon UK as a third party dealer. I've added the Amazon UK ordering link to the first post, but there's no sign of a domestic release at Amazon USA yet ... not even a listing for it as an import.

$75? That's fantastic? Where did you order it from? Triumph's website is asking over $100 I think.
