why why why???????

a remaster of one his worst albums, yet "rock love" and "journey from eden" remain as never ever having been on CD anywhere in the world.

simply stupid.

Eagle UK reissued a remaster in 1998, along with a bunch of other later titles. I have Italian X-Rays from this batch.

I wouldn't mind seeing a remaster of "Living In The 20th Century", which was last reissued in 1995.

Italian X-Ray's in the series to be issued by Edsel as far as I'm aware.

I stumbled across a copy of the original CD when the Blockbuster Music stores were closing down several years ago, and for the four or five bucks I paid it isn't too bad. I even like "Macho City" once in a blue moon. But I'll agree that overall this is not one of Miller's best.

I'd like to see Miller's entire pre-Joker catalogue get the reissue treatment but as with Fleetwood Mac's pre-Buckingham/Nicks work, it has apparently been decided that people couldn't possibly be interested.

My understand of it he's trying to pull a Bob Seger to keep two albums for ever being issued on cd by keeping his most commercial recordings that he owns the rights to in print and being able to pull them if any affiliates of Capitol ever attempt put 'em out.
Sad really.

Artists like Neil Young and Steve Miller baffle me when it comes to holding back catalog releases. Obviously, it was good enough to see release originally, so why should it be no longer available.?

If their fans want to buy these albums, then they should give in to their fans. This is why bootlegging and needle drop CDs and downloading is necessary for collectors to have what is being denied them.

There is a label from Argentina which produced a gatefold mini-Cd of "Journey from Eden" which is very good. I suspect not legit BUT it source is of excellent quality (as well as its packaging).

Renny, PM me.
