I had seen these listed on Dusty Groove's website, and was curious since they always clearly mark their Japanese releases as such. I wrote to Paul Williams (NOT the musician, but the reissue producer) who gave me the following information:

"They are also being issue in Japan but I think these are single sleeves.

We decided to make them gatefolds and make the original printend inner bags the center-fold.

We are using these two to test market this style of release. No booklets, but the gatefold sleeves look really sharp and are very well made."

I just got these reissues last week, and they are wonderful. The sleeves are nice, heavy, gatefold glossy cardboard, with an "OBI" strip. I miss having one of Reel Music's informative booklets, but the overall presentation is so nice, I am quite pleased. Looking forward to new releases from Reel Music in 2011!

Love these too. And kudos to Reel for giving these a collectable feel... the packaging is very similar to Mobile Fidelity's gold & SACD releases.
